It’s been three weeks! For some reason, this milestone doesn’t feel as big as the last week did 😛 But no matter, I’m still happy with it.

Liz just showed me a gallery of photos this mom is taking of her two year-old and a 7 month-old puppy who nap together every day for two hours and it’s pretty much the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Sorry…had to mention that. You can look at the ridiculousness here.

Anyway, today was a busy day; worked, as per usual. Fell a tiny bit short at the end in terms of how many minutes of final product I completed, but it was only 40 seconds short, and I’m totally confident I can make that up tomorrow.

Speaking of, I’m also trying to get up early tomorrow, so this will, naturally, be a short blog. I’ll see if I can make up for that on Wednesday, maybe. Spend some time putting some real effort into this thing.

Got to meet with Josh today, it had been the first time in almost two weeks. I tried to get us to meet last week, but he was crazy busy and I actually was, too. We’re in the casting phase of the short, nothing I can really write on yet, but it’s a process for sure. We haven’t found the perfect fit yet for one of the crucial roles, and I spilled today that I’ve come to the realization that I don’t think we *can* move forward any further with this thing until that role has been filled. It’s that important. We don’t have our movie until we’ve cast that role. It was a moment that made me feel like an actual filmmaker 😛 Which is funny, because it was also a realization that we’re currently stuck, and will be for a while.

In other news, “Eastbound & Down” ended last night, and I caught the series finale while eating dinner tonight, and holy bejeezus! The last three minutes or so of the show were so epically genius…it was perfect. Such an underrated show. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend it. One of the few shows that gets better as it goes along. A few missteps in there this season, but what TV show *doesn’t*? Looking at you BSG…lookin’ at you.

Also finally got the letter of denial from my mom about her surgery, and, believe it or not, I think it’s a good thing. There were two specific reasons they denied her, and both of them are requirement that are absolutely fulfill-able…which is great news. We have a checklist now, and when we get them the paperwork they’re asking for, they *should* have no choice left but to approve her. They put it in black and white what they wanted to to do. That’s major progress. It also completely implies that the procedure is, otherwise, covered.

Anywho, that’s all for now. Coops is staring at me for his nighttime treat, and I can feel the benadryl starting to take effect. Time to dream. Tomorrow, I want to be sitting at this keyboard with work done, fellow writers having been met, and looking forward to having a legitimate day off. I can’t wait. Hoping some rest will go a long way towards recharging these creative batteries and get some story flowing from these fingers.

PS- this photo has nothing to do with anything, except that I found it while searching for a cover image for this post…and it’s amazing
