Man, I can’t help but think about how I’ve almost made it to 100 posts. In a row. That’s pretty crazy, huh?

Literally, until just about ten minutes ago, I was in the mood to write some whiny post about how I just can’t seem to shake this fucking sickness…but now that I’ve taken some drugs and my belly is signaling that it is, in fact, full…I have no desire left to make a post like that πŸ˜›

I fulfilled my blog promise from yesterday to finish this section of editing that had been assigned to me. So hooray on that. I’ve slacked in a couple areas regarding the apartment building, however, so perhaps I’ll need to carve out some time tomorrow for that. We’ll see. The most important thing will be the editing.

The Coops is curled up on the bed in his customary corner spot, this time on Liz’s side of the bed. He, actually, usually sleeps on her side of the bed. Or, at least, the majority of the time. He does go through spells of sleeping on my side, too, and less often on the floor. We think it has to do with how warm or cold the weather is.

Liz is on set right now, shooting for “Rake,” which has recently premiered on the ol’ TV. Check your local listings. I’m expecting a call any moment now that she’s been wrapped. We’ve been able to spend quite a bit of time together, lately, and it was weird not having her home. But, she’s working, and that’s *always* a good day πŸ™‚

Got to catch up with my mom, too – she was driving home for a few days off after her first week (plus) back to work. They gave her a killer schedule where she’s able to work one day, and then have one day off, and then work the next day. She’s really made some great friends at work, and they were more than happy to accommodate her current, um, let’s say “sleep-challenged” or “exhaustion-prone” state because of her apnea. So, that was great to hear. She sounds much more like her young self, and she says she’s feeling a bit more that way, too. Dad also sounds great; he’s working. Next thing is just getting this surgery scheduled, done, and then recovered from and it will be a whole new chapter starting for my mom. I, personally, think it’s going to make a huge difference. I think she doesn’t even remember what it’s like to get a good, full, restful night’s sleep and how much energy that’s going to give her. I’m excited.

Also did some thinking whilst cleaning up some dishes and brushing my teeth on this new sci fi pilot that, I think, really has to be the first thing that I put out with my name on it. To try and get a job. It was thinking about character foils, and perhaps turning some conventions on their head. I feel like that’s always slightly dangerous territory, though. There are many character conventions that don’t need to be changed, and often when they are, feel false…and they are, because they’re just being changed for the sake of change. Not because they make anything more interesting. But…if I can find some different ways of using some stock sci fi story devices, that’s fun. Be as inventive as I can with the wheel, without breaking it.

Anyway…I’m tired. That’s really what’s what. I’m tired πŸ˜› The sickness, setting new scary goals, getting behind on work, the apartment, my mom’s stuff…it caught up to me these past few days. But, the good news is, I’m actually feeling alright. I don’t feel totally overwhelmed. Just, tired. And I can deal with that.

I’m talking head hitting pillows, my peeps. Gonna do that shit right now.

Love you guys! πŸ˜‰
