My dog has his head and neck currently draped across my ankle. It’s pretty freaking adorable.
Coops is soooooo happy to be home. I must say I am happy too to be home. Don’t get me wrong. I miss the bliss of Maui like a motherfucker, but one can only run from the rest of their life for so long, yes?
I slept in today, took a nap with the Ho in the late afternoon. Got a ton of apartment stuff done and a few narration corrections. Was quite productive and looking forward to having a quiet evening to myself…when the gate to our garage decided to break. At 8pm on a Friday night.
Great.
It would have been fine had the repair guy come out a half hour later like he said he would. Nope. It was 11:30 when he finally showed up. Three and a half hours later…and that was with him telling me he was “on his way” or “be there in 20 minutes” every time I called him. Totally hijacked my night, and a couple of our tenants as well.
He did *finally* get here and got the gate up so people can go in and out with their cars, and he says he can fix it in the morning. We’ll see. Not holding my breath, to be honest. Hopefully he does.
I have this iTunes rented copy of the newest Captain America movie on my iPad that I keep meaning to watch, but events have conspired against me at every turn. Very much hoping to get into it tomorrow. The Ho and I have a bunch of “Agents of Shield” episode to watch together, but apparently, they reference a decent chunk of that movie, so I want to watch it before we get on them. Not sold on that show, “Agents of Shield.” Not in the slightest. But, apparently, it does get a little more interesting. We’ll see.
Hopefully the Ho and I can also get to the bank tomorrow to set up our accounts together. Been meaning to do that for a long time, too. And, maybe finish those reviews of Ringworld and Rendezvous with Rama. Those two reviews ARE happening this month…not sure they will this weekend, tho.
I also really want to play a round of golf, but it’s supposed to be, like, a million degrees tomorrow, so I really don’t know if that’s gonna happen. We’ll see. Maybe do a later afternoon time. Or, not at all. I can’t really say. Just itching to go and play again after playing in Maui. See if some playing back-to-back can improve my scores.
That’s all for tonight. Once again, I’m tired. Lots going on. But, hopefully, much more on track and getting back to normal speed after the bits and bobs I took care of today.
