The photo tonight is my current view on the other side of the iPad. Coco’s face smushed up against my leg in bed. It’s already 1am, so this one is going to be short.

I did some editing, cut short to go and see the Ho’s opening night. It was legitimately awesome. First of all, the space they’re in is freaking dope. St. John’s Church in dowtown LA. It’s right next to USC, a church I used to drive past quite a bit when Liz was going to school there. It’s this totally old-school, Romanesque church surrounded by concrete in the middle of south central. It’s beautiful inside. I’m going to post some Instagrams of it I think.

The play itself I was surprised to find thoroughly enjoyable. And, I say surprised mostly in that I’m usually disappointed with new plays. This one has it’s moments of rough edges, but I found it to be funny, engaging, the subject matter to be very interesting, actually, and for the most part deftly written. My hat’s off to the playright, the director (and our friend Jenn Chang), and to my bae the Ho for being my favorite character. For reals. Not just because she’s my bae. I thought she had the most satisfying journey, and I really just loved the character choices she made.

Anywho, short one and that’s all tonight. More tomorrow 😉
