At long last…and I do mean the “long” part of that…once upon a time, we were supposed to launch June 1st; I laugh at our innocence…SEASON 1 OF TWO GUYS ONE TREK IS LIVE. It’s ready for your ears, and your mouse clicks and your tweets. The feeds are up and working, the accounts are updated, the hosting is paid, the artwork is glorious. It’s all finally ready.

As my wife so aptly put it a couple weeks ago: Two Guys One Trek is about a Star Trek rookie (that’s Josh) and a die-hard fan (that’s me) who come together to journey through the series that started it all, way back in 1966. 50 years ago.

Josh and I have been meeting once a week for a long time at this point, we’re currently about 1/3 of the way through season 2 already, but we early-on decided we wanted to release the entire first season all at once. People don’t watch shows like Star Trek week-to-week any more. And this show really is designed to be a companion piece to the watching experience, you know? Star Trek itself is still, and will always be, the star of the show. And our audience watches that in binges. So…why stick to a format of podcasting that doesn’t support that? Why not put it all out at the same time and let people listen and watch how they want to.

So, we did, and here we are. Season 1, all 29 episodes (plus a “teaser” for the website to pique interest) are now available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher, and right here on TheIncrediblog. You can subscribe, stream, or download…whatever strikes your fancy. It’s all good for us. And SHARE the show if you like it. It’s free! We don’t own it any more, you do. The only thing we ask is that you TELL US what you think 🙂

Honestly, probably the biggest thing I’m looking forward to at this point is making more friends who love Trek. It was a big deal for me when Josh confessed he’d been sucked into the Trek vortex of amazingness and saw a bonfide fan when he looked in the mirror. I haven’t actually had a ton of Star Trek fans in my life, but those I have had are some of the people I love the most and are closest to. So the prospect of meeting more is very exciting. Trek fans are special people, which we talk about on the podcast on several occasions.

So, anyway, enough of the “blog” post on this announcement. Go and listen to what we’ve left for you, and we hope you enjoy it half as much as we did making it.
