The holidays are officially beginning here at the Ho-Heinichen household. We’re packing right now for our trip up to Portland to see our siblings. Liz’s sister Julianne lives in Portland, as do Scott and Addie. The parents shall be visiting Seth and Lena out in New York, so we’re all over the place this year for Christmas.

We’re going for a full week, with the doges, so there is A LOT of stuff to pack. And we’re also leaving realllyyyy early, so I’m going to try and sleep here early. It’s only 10am right now, but being up at 5am means I have to get to sleep asap in order to get something reasonable. We’ll see how that works out. Flight leaves at 6:50.

The dogs are currently chomping away at their Whimzee sticks. Nom nom nom. Coops eats his down on the ground, and Coco eats hers on the bed. It takes her a legit 10-15 minutes to chomp down that thing. Which is exactly what we want, because they’re designed to clean their teeth as they chew on them.

I edited with Josh today for his feature film…and finished. I can check that off my list, thank you baby jesus! Next up are this Starstuff rewrite, and then season 2 of Two Guys One Trek. Both of which are no joke and will take me some serious time. We’ll be back taping Two Guys One Trek right after the new year, which means we should finish around…Valentine’s I think? Something like that. We should finish the Animated series and the movies probably by summer. And that will be a year and a half of our lives. I hope to be a “published” author by that point… 🙂 Whether it’s indie or traditionally. Either way, that’s the goal.

Goals. Goals goals goals.

I might grind myself to the nubs before the year is over (in two weeks) getting this novel rewrite finished…but I really, really really want to achieve that goal. Finished. Complete. Beginning to end. It’s doable…but it won’t be easy. I will HAVE to get work done while we’re up in Portland…and that will be challenging to say the least. But I can do it. If I can find a couple hours each day that we’re up there…I can do it. It’s 132 pages to finish…including some decently-sized rewrites. Plus typing all that shit in, and then going through the whole manuscript for a line edit. It might not be physically possible…I might need a whole other week. But maybe not.

It’s time for the sleeps, you guys. Liz just showed me these little ID tags that she made for Cooper and Coco’s travel carriers. It has their photos on the front, and then our contact info on the back. It’s adorable. And very safe. I mean, what if we were to get separated somehow? That would be horrible. But now, they’d know who to contact, and everything would be okay.

Night you guys. Wish me a speedy journey into snooze-town.
