Coco is gnawing the huck out of a Whimzee right now. Nom nom.

I wrote 600 words today. Sigh. Not 1,000…but words. I sat down, and I wrote them.

Honesty time: work is hard right now. Don’t know exactly why, except that it’s still the early stages of transitioning into writing full-time, and I always seem to struggle at first with a new routine. Feel very, very tired all the time, hard to focus, etc. So, yeah…not hitting my goals. At all. Or…at least at FIRST…

I powered through those feelings today. I kept on going. And while I feel short on my words goal, I did some SOLID work on my outline. So…phew. It FEELS like it was a really shitty day work-wise, but in reality it wasn’t. I *did* work. I was determined.

So…tomorrow, I shall bring that same determination. Work will be done. I have a feeling in my gut it won’t be much. It won’t be as much as I want it to be…but if I can just keep stringing together these days, the rough ones will turn into better ones. I *am* excited about this book. I dug around in the sandbox a bit today, and came up with some super fun stuff. Tomorrow, I finish this story arc outline, and then I’m going to dive into some character stuff, moments I’d like to hit for each of the main characters.

Anywho…went to the Griffith Observatory tonight with Liz, Ian, and Kristen. It was beautiful! Now we’re home, hitting the hay late. Got to talk to my bro on FaceTime. That was super nice. Henri is SO CUTE. Good lord. Love you guys!
