I had another great writing day, though *slightly* shy according to my word count tracker…though I have reason to believe that it did not count almost 400 words I wrote today…still: the total was 2,753 words. That is DOPE, yo! 🙂

I’ve written just barely shy of 10,000 words in three days. Amazing. Very happy with this.

I feel a little antsy after today, like I’m about to hit my first wall with this new routine of writing 3K per day…this nervousness of, “oh, hey, something feels like it might be working, but it’s going to take a lot of effort to maintain.” That kind of self-sabotage type stuff…so you guys have to help me tomorrow and send me positive thoughts that will help me NOT stop when I hit that wall, but drive right on through it.

Because I can sustain this. I know I can. I can do this. Three thousand words is clearly, CLEARLY doable. And I do know my story…I just have to stick through the hard parts, drive through the rough sections where not everything has been answered yet…just keep writing.

Just keep writing.

Remember that I have to trust my process, which is to say: trust that I will *learn* my process, the process that works for me and that actually produces excellent content. I haven’t done this book-writing thing enough yet to have really found that process yet…and I need to trust myself to be self-critical and that I will improve as I do this more and more – trim the things that don’t work, and keep the things that do, always trying new ways of doing things. Research, and trial and error…I will figure out my own process to produce good work.

But I’m not there yet, and that’s okay. I have to go through the failures in order to learn how to succeed. There is no shortcut to that.

Trust the process.

Just keep writing.

Good night!
