Today was productive…but not as much as it should have been. Tomorrow is set up to be very productive.

I mapped out my next four weeks to deliver my manuscript on time. That was very stressful, but it also made me realize I *can* do this if I really buckle down and focus. Granted, that has been the challenge for the past several months…but I’m going to try and approach it differently tomorrow: and that’s to have my whole day mapped out, and simply time my amount of work in 25 minute sections. I haven’t done that the past couple days, and it’s worked for me in the recent past, so here we go.

I tried to get all set up for Flix work, but there’s a persistent error with the program that I’d be actually downloading my footage from, so that’s annoying. Hopefully that gets sorted tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ve essentially lost an entire week’s worth of work. Annoyed face.

My proof finished today for my paperback, and I order a physical copy, so that’s on its way to me. I paid $20 for it so it would get here faster. Seemed worth it. We’ll see 😛 I hope it looks good. I really, really do. I’m going to do a facebook live video of it when it comes in. Wednesday of next week.

ALSO…my first email sent to my “giveaway” list went well today. I’m almost at 50% open rate, which I think is really, really good. Several people signed up for my VIP list, which is great. I’ll be giving those peeps a free signed copy of my book, and hopefully a few of them trickle on over to the ARC list and grab that, too, and get ready for a review.

Finally, I sent out an email today that I was really struggling with how to get it out there and not be a complete dunce about it. It was an email to someone I don’t really know, someone who is more established in their career than I am, and it ended with inviting them to read my book if they wanted to. I’ve been taught that if you’re asking for a favor, it’s the right thing to do to offer something in return, and so I did; I was able to figure out how to that, and that was very satisfying. This was someone who really opened up the world of self-publishing to me through their podcast, and so I talked about that and thanked them. Then, I offered my services as a video editor should they ever need one. We’ll see what they say. It was definitely a heartfelt email, I meant what I was saying in it, and hopefully that came across.

That’s all I have for tonight except to say that the Ho and I watched the movie Life, which was the SciFi horror film from…earlier this year?…with Ryan Reynolds in it and JAke Gyllenhall, and holy crap it was bad. And bad in the worst way: it was boring. Dull. Not scary. And the characters acted so stupidly. It was just really bad. Sigh. But, the wifey and I had fun watching it regardless 😛

Night! Tomorrow…is a WERK DAY.
