Dramatic artwork tonight from Shusei Nagaoka

Even I have no freaking idea what my blog title means tonight 😛 Well, I guess I do somewhat, since I came up with it…I had a great work day. Fantastic. The best. The best two days of work I’ve had in…maybe even all year. I was on-task every single hour of the day, finished exactly on time…I think the lessons are decent quality…it was a great day.

I celebrated by going to get a slurpee and played a little Skyrim. That game is so fun, yo! So fun. I went on my first little adventure, unplanned. Explored this temple-dungeon thing and beat my first boss-type spider-thing. It was scary. And fun. And now I have this thing called the golden claw. Yeah. Awesome. I also love the music, it’s a full score, and I love how pretty everything looks; the mist up on the mountains, the architecture on the villages…it’s just really cool. To be honest, I thought I was going to like Mass Effect more than this one because it’s space SciFi…and maybe I eventually will…but so far, Skyrim  is waaaay more fun to play.

My first X-Box game. Late to the party, I know.

I also got my work in on looking at my schedule for the next couple months, getting my goals. Figuring out how long it might take me to do things. Realistically, I’d be baller-status if I were done with Icarus, done with a solid second draft to send out for feedback on The Foundation, and two-thirds of the way through my second novel. That would be incredible. I’d be very happy with that, actually. VERY happy. And, I can be there…I just need to take it one day at a time. One hour a day. It’s really as simple as that. Not easy…but simple.

I just laughed to myself as I wrote that last bit, and the Ho asked me what was so amusing. I told her…and it’s true. It’s so stupid that it’s not easier to commit to one fucking hour a day…but it IS that hard. For whatever reason and all the reasons. It’s a fight.

Anywho, that’s all for tonight. It was a good day. This schedule is working so far. Working well. I *was* tired today…but not too tired to get my shit done. And that’s what matters.

Night.
