Yo. Yo!
Okay…so it wasn’t quite a 10K day…but it WAS a 5K day and you know what? I am fucking proud of that shit. It was such a good day! SUCH A GOOD DAY. I’ve realized I love writing all day. And that was even through some scenes that were a challenge today!
10K days are definitely in my future. I know this to be true. I can see being able to write a novel in a week, you guys…and by that, I mean a rough draft. And by a “week” I really do just mean that rough draft. All the outlining and character pre-work has been done, and I’ve futzed around on getting the opening of the book right. And THEN it will probably take me another two weeks to go through and fix the mistakes…but guys…I can SEE IT. I can see how people write a novel in a month. I can see that shit.
So…tomorrow…I’m trying again for 10,000. If I fall short, that’s fine. I’m going to put in my time, work all day, and make the words as good as I can make them.
I also got my proof today for Starstuff, the second one actually, from my artist…and it’s DOPE. Can’t wait to see the finals on it. Cannot. Friggin. Wait. I hired the best in the biz, and he’s knocking it out of the park.
Just ordered buttons for STLV. So, not only will the Ho and I have dope-ass shirts in Vegas and be getting some dope-ass autographs…we’ll handing out TG1T buttons! So, that’s exciting.
Things are happening. This week is going to be a good week. And so it next week. Scaling back my writing goals as we’re on the road, obviously. But I’m still going to write. I’ll be done with this book, you guys, in a couple weeks. The rough draft anyway. The rewrite gives me sweats, still…might always be that way, but we’ll see.
I wrote 5,000 new words today. YAS.
