I flubbed up today…

I did things backwards, and it really bit me in the ass. I did my editing work for Netflix FIRST and then I sputtered in the second half of the day. Blech. But…I have a saving grace, and goshdarnit, guys, I’m going to use that shit. I’m going to work my ass off this weekend. You are going to hear from me Sunday night and I’m going to be sitting in this chair with this dirty keyboard, and I’m going to be writing about how I caught all the way up.

All the way.

Damn, this keyboard really is quite dirty.

I *did* do work today, some of it good, most of it up in my head…which really doesn’t count if we’re being honest…but I finally have a direction to follow with Petrick’s storyline, and it finally FINALLY feels right. Finally. I’d strayed from my original mission, I realize now. I was creating adventures in the wrong places, and because they were brand new and were ignoring where I’d been before, the promises I’d made before, it wasn’t working. It wasn’t justified. So. That’s dope.

Maybe it’s just thinking about having a really productive day tomorrow, but I’m starting to really itch to write this book, and that is what I’ve been missing. I already feel that way about the other story thread…it was the Petrick thread that was unraveling and a snooze festival. There’s still work there, but I’m on the right track. I can feel it in my gut, and that’s where I do all my most important writer-feeling.

K. Gonna get a good night’s sleep after I plan out my day, and set some concrete goals.

Just had an explosion of ideas, and had to write them down. Sheesh. This is good. This is very good. I have these productive times from around 8pm-10pm. I should listen to that shit, and schedule that as creative time, shouldn’t I? Someday I’ll get it all right.

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for reading. Starstuff went on pre-order today on Amazon BUT…I’m not allowed to share the link yet, guys. It’s an algorithm thing. I have to let people find it organically first, THEN I can share the link for family and friends.

Night!
